The Global Cloud Data Center is a data center campus with a surface area of 200,000 m² in Ponte San Pietro (BG), just a few minutes from Milan.
At the IT3 Data Center, with 24/7 armed security on all its multiple control perimeters, traffic can be exchanged with all the operators on the Milan Internet eXchange in Milan, thanks to the MIX Point of Presence.
All facilities have been designed and built to meet or exceed the highest levels of resilience, in accordance with ANSI/TIA-942-B-2017 Rating 4 requirements and the ISO 22237 standard, the international benchmark standard for the entire life cycle of a data centers (strategic conception - building - operation).

From the two Main Distribution Areas (MDA), positioned on opposite sides of the data hall, connectivity is distributed in each data room.
Nozzles that spray inert gas (IG-541) are fitted under the floating floor in the data hall and are silenced to protect the hardware.
Double insulation system in steel and reinforced concrete to guarantee thermal insulation for the data rooms and water resistance for the whole structure.
The data hall is made entirely of REI 240 firewalls and divided into 10 independent data rooms, each one 1,000 m², separated by REI 120 firewalls.
The spacious upper technical area created by the 3-meter high crawl space makes it easier for the hot air to circulate, reducing load loss to a minimum.
Floating floor 2 meters high with a maximum load of 2,400 kg/m² for an efficient air-containment system with no turbulence.
The surfaces of the data center that are most exposed to sunlight are covered with photovoltaic panels that help produce huge amounts of clean energy.
The power center is made up of containers in which there are: medium voltage (MV) switchgear panels; UPS systems; batteries (BAT.); switchboards and transformers (PC).
The two cooling rooms contain heat exchangers (2N redundancy) where the primary and secondary hydraulic circuits meet.
The air/water chillers can start working to cool the primary cooling circuit partially or fully.

A trained fire-fighting team with a dedicated vehicle is always available on campus.
The dual power center contains redundant modules made up of containers that are easy to scale and replace. Each module is made up of 4 stacked containers: 2 for the batteries, 1 for the UPS and 1 for the power center.
The groundwater cooling system for the primary circuit works on the heat exchangers (2N redundancy) that cool the secondary circuit towards the data rooms. The air/water cooling chillers only start working in an emergency.
Carriers with fiber: TIM, Fastweb, Wind | Tre, Vodafone, Retelit, Cogent, Irideos, Planetel. A dual transmission system to Milan Internet eXchange (MIX) facilitates interconnectivity with tens of further national and international carriers. Provision of managed connectivity available on request.
The data center has been designed to exploit all the possibilities to minimize its environmental impact, without compromising the guaranteed high standards of reliability and performance. It is powered by electricity from renewable sources certified by the Guarantee of Origin (GO) standard.

Located within the campus, but detached from the data centers and with external access, the Aruba Auditorium is at the disposal of customers for their business conference and convention requirements. With seating for up to 400, this multipurpose venue also boasts a spacious foyer and well-equipped meeting rooms.
