Sustainable from the ground up

Respect for the environment is part of our industrial strategy and translates into ongoing investments in data center efficiency and renewable energy production.

Greater efficiency for our customers, less impact on the environment

To power our green-by-design data centers, we purchase electricity with a Guarantee of Origin from renewable sources, subject to market availability.

Sustainability is taken into account right from the site selection stage, as demonstrated by the Ponte San Pietro data center, which was built on a redeveloped former industrial site. From the design of facility systems to the day-to-day management of infrastructure, every stage is focused on using energy more efficiently, making services more sustainable for customers and making the best possible use of resources.

We produce clean energy to reduce our environmental footprint

In addition to purchasing energy with a Guarantee of Origin, Aruba produces and feeds renewable energy into the National Transmission Grid through its own hydroelectric and photovoltaic plants. This production is equivalent to more than half of the energy consumption associated with our services, helping to reduce the environmental footprint of our customers and of the infrastructure they host in our data centers.

We use high-efficiency cooling systems

Maintaining the ideal temperature in our facilities is essential, but cooling the entire volume would result in unnecessary energy consumption. That’s why we use systems that separate cold and hot air flows, concentrating cooling where it is needed, as well as solutions that use groundwater as a natural source for heat exchange.
