The Global Cloud Data Center is a data center campus with a surface area of 200,000m2 in Ponte San Pietro (BG), just a few minutes from Milan. All the systems have been designed and built to meet and exceed the highest levels of resilience set by ANSI/TIA 942-A Rating 4 (formerly Tier 4).

The batteries are contained within purpose-built separate and sealed containers, with separate alarm systems and fire protection systems.
The DC – B of the Global Cloud Data Center is in the south-east of the Campus and will occupy an area of around 15,000m².
The DC – C of the Global Cloud Data Center will further extend the campus's data hall, with another 10,000m² dedicated to IT space.
The DC – D of the Global Cloud Data Center occupies the central area of the campus, with a surface area of over 15,000m².
The DC – E of the Global Cloud Data Center is in the northern part of the campus, and has a total surface area of around 5,000m².
In the south-west of the campus, around 5,000m² is dedicated to multipurpose areas, including offices and laboratories available to customers.
At the main entrance to the campus is the headquarters of the Global Cloud Data Center.

The term ‘Tier’ was used for the ANSI/TIA-942 standard until the March 2014 version. In the March 2014 version, the term ‘Tier’ was replaced by ‘Rating’.
The certification process for the data center IT3 is currently under way.
